Physician (Deputy Clinical Director)

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Deputy Clinical Director) to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality clinical services and ensuring the effective management of our healthcare programs.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and oversee people and programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services.
- Delegation of authority and recognition of changing priorities to ensure effective program management.
- Knowledge of interrelationships and inter-dependencies among various medical and administrative services and programs.
- Participate in the formulation of policies, programs, and procedures related to the delivery of clinical services.
- Maintain systems for monitoring quality assessment, accreditation, fiscal management, and performance metrics.
- Analyze operational data and provide qualified advice to inform program decisions.
- Exercise full managerial and supervisory responsibility and accountability for the function and administration of clinical services.
- Must pass a pre-employment examination.
- Selectee may be subject to a probationary period.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- This is a designated position covered by Public Law, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
- A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.
- Confidential Financial Disclosure Form required.
- Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957 and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service healthcare facilities.
- The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
- Applicant must possess a current, active, unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., 1 year internship or the first year of a residency program in hospital or an institution accredited to such training.
This is a Direct Hire announcement for the Physician (Deputy Clinical Director) for the Uintah and Ouray Service Unit in Fort Duchesne, Utah.
