We're Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company that's changing the way people move around. We're looking for a talented Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of autonomous vehicles.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer at Waymo, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient machine learning models for training large-scale models. You'll work closely with our software engineering team to develop and deploy the training infrastructure used by model trainers across Waymo.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement efficient machine learning models for training large-scale models
- Evaluate the impact of these features on developer velocity and resource efficiency
- Collaborate with model owners to jointly evaluate tradeoffs of training efficiency and model quality
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of neural network training and related concepts
- Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
BENEFITS AND SALARY
The expected hourly rate for this full-time position is $50.48 - $60.10 USD. Interns are also eligible to participate in the Company's generous benefits programs, subject to eligibility requirements.
