Production Grade Machine Learning Engineer

Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the most trusted driver, is seeking a talented Production Grade Machine Learning Engineer. With a strong focus on building the Waymo Driver - The World's Most Experienced DriverTM -, we strive to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives lost to traffic crashes. As a key member of our team, you will develop and improve machine learning models that assess our autonomous vehicle's behavior, collaborate across teams to bring state-of-the-art to production, and build robust and performant models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve ML models that assess autonomous vehicle behavior
- Develop ML infrastructure to support robust and performant models
- Collaborate across teams to bring state-of-the-art to production
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math or another quantitative area, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience building productionized ML models
- Strong coding and design skills: comfort building production systems (Python / C++)
- Strong background and experience in applied Deep Learning
- A strong track record in improving model quality
Estimated Salary Range: $192,000 - $243,000 USD
