Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Comstock Companies. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, tenants, and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and address any potential security risks.
  • Access Control: Manage access to the facility for guests, tenants, and vendors, ensuring that only authorized individuals have access.
  • Property Protection: Monitor the property for any signs of damage or vandalism and take prompt action to prevent or mitigate any issues.
  • Foot Patrols: Conduct regular foot patrols in and around the building to ensure that the area is secure and free from any potential threats.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of any incidents or security concerns and report them to management in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, tenants, and staff to ensure that they are aware of any security protocols or procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Security Certification: Must be certified as a security officer by the state of Virginia.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-service related field.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license without major violations.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • Personality: Outgoing personality with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people and build/maintain strong relationships.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
