About the Role

Sunny's is seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Host to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, this role sets the tone for each experience and plays a vital part in the success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience: Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for all guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
  • Reservations and Waitlist Management: Maintain the reservations book, handle incoming reservation requests, and oversee the waitlist to ensure seamless service.
  • Table Status Updates: Monitor and update table statuses throughout service to ensure efficient table turns and maximum revenue.
  • Guest Communication: Provide answers to guests' questions regarding restaurant and menu information, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Cleanliness and Appearance: Uphold a high standard of cleanliness and personal appearance, reflecting the professionalism of Sunny's.
  • Communication with Management: Provide constant communication to the management team regarding reservations, table status, and any issues that may arise.
  • Setup and Breakdown: Thoroughly complete setup and breakdown of each station, ensuring a smooth service.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for long periods, balance and carry multiple plates, glass racks, and/or glasses, and lift objects up to 40+ lbs.
  • Schedule: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and variable schedule per the needs of the business.
