About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our North America Shower Door department, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction for major new research and development, product design, product improvement, and cost reduction projects.
  • Project Management: Plan, schedule, and coordinate design and development projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Design and Development: Design and validate parts, assemblies, and systems that meet consumer needs, driving speed and quality of product launches.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Industrial Design, to generate better solutions.
  • Global Talent Engagement: Engage Centers of Excellence and Technical Centers around the globe to complete project deliverables and promote parts reuse.
  • Sustainability: Evaluate designs for environmental sustainability and recommend improvements.
  • Customer Focus: Visit customers or engage experts to understand installation needs and opportunities for quality improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3+ years of steadily increasing Mechanical Project Engineering work experience.
  • Skills: Functional familiarity with Pro-E CAD system, experience with SAP or similar business process system, and demonstrated ability to research and manage product data.
