Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer, New Product Integration to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for driving early manufacturing involvement and executing manufacturing New Product Development (NPD) deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to improve design effectiveness and reliability through Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), design reviews, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Manage multiple projects of a complex nature, ensuring timely completion and meeting launch targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, engineering, production, and materials, to ensure successful product launches.
  • Develop and maintain product cost models to actively manage product costs throughout development.
  • Provide technical support for Make versus Buy analysis, utilizing cash cost modeling and consideration of Global Capacity and Asset Optimization.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, including the New Product Development process and manufacturing processes.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to problem-solving and make appropriate decisions, justifying risk under critical review.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, project management, or new product development engineering role.
  • Knowledge and experience of multiple manufacturing processes, including assembly, casting, forging, injection molding, stamping, and/or finishing.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and lead small teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and SAP.
  • Experience with DFMA techniques and software is a plus.
