Job Summary

The Commercial Business Development Manager plays a critical role in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop, negotiate, and execute commercial strategies and agreements under the Supply & Marketing organization.

This position requires a deep understanding of commodity flows, asset infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and market players within the geographic footprint of CITGO Petroleum Corporation.

The successful candidate will monitor market conditions, regulatory events, and recommend strategies to drive continuous profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate, negotiate, and execute commercial strategies and agreements
  • Conduct extensive domestic and international market research and develop business development strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external customers and suppliers
  • Monitor commodity flows, market prices, regulatory changes, and competitors
  • Coordinate and facilitate S&M interaction with other internal groups to accomplish goals
Requirements
  • College degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 13 years of professional experience
  • Strong understanding of crude oil and refined product markets, commodity flows, and asset infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and sales skills
  • Strong financial and economic analysis skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the US and LATAM related to petroleum markets
