About the Role

PATH is seeking a skilled Public Benefits Specialist to join our team in Santa Clara, California. As a key member of our team, you will provide targeted support for benefits advocacy to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in street outreach activities to develop relationships and build rapport with clients.
  • Receive and accept benefits assistance referrals, initiating and tracking progress throughout the provision of services.
  • Provide strengths-based service coordination services to assist clients with obtaining and maintaining mainstream benefits.
  • Offer mobile, field-based benefit advocacy services to ensure the highest possible rate of success for benefits applications.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of $27.75 - $33.83 per hour.
  • A generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Vacation and sick time, paid holidays, and a retirement plan.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services, or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Employment eligibility verification.
  • CPR/First Aid training.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
