Role OverviewPowerswitch Action seeks an experienced Policy Director to lead public policy advocacy, multimedia communications, and staff supervision. The successful candidate will oversee up to four Policy Advocates who work closely with our grassroots base of working-class immigrant families to drive systemic changes to their lived experiences and champion campaigns for structural policy reform.
Key Responsibilities- Spearhead the development of coalitions, lobbying efforts, research initiatives, messaging strategies, and digital media communications for Policy Advocates.
- Collaborate with the Organizing Team to provide policy and communications support for organizing campaigns.
- Plan, review, and edit content for Policy Advocates' public communications to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Provide regular feedback and conduct annual staff evaluations to foster growth and improvement.
- Take a leading role in regional campaign strategy and direction.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
- Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
- 1+ year of supervision experience.
- 4+ years of experience in public policy advocacy and/or multimedia communications.
- Exceptional writing and public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in graphic design and visual media.
- $83,200 per year salary.
