Senior Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team in North America's heavy-duty transit bus industry. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising daily activities, ensuring quality standards, and meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work efforts of your team to facilitate efficient completion of installations within set timelines.
- Implement progressive discipline processes to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Complete tasks to the highest quality standards, adhering to established procedures for handling parts to eliminate waste.
- Collaborate with support elements (Materials, QA) to ensure smooth execution of installations.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance station members' skills and adaptability.
- Identify and report unsafe work conditions and injuries promptly to designated personnel.
- Maintain a clean workstation at the end of each shift, ensuring tools are properly marked, operational, and accounted for.
- Document all tasks and labor hours accurately against completed installations.
- Ensure LiveBus is completed correctly and on schedule before line moves.
- Plan and execute daily production line schedules efficiently to meet organizational goals.
- Monitor part shortages and report them immediately to enable timely resolutions.
- Foster open communication among team members, conducting regular Toolbox meetings as needed.
- Able to communicate effectively and support a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Oracle systems and ability to utilize them daily in the work station.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong blueprint reading, working knowledge of process sheets, and work instructions.
- Working knowledge of all online installations and commissioning requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Microsoft Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality consciousness.
