Industrial Operations Manager

A leading manufacturer of fire protection and water distribution products is seeking an Industrial Operations Manager to join their team in Anniston, AL. As a key member of the Machine Shop team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of RSGV Assembly and Powder Coat.
About the Role
The Industrial Operations Manager provides exceptional leadership, supervising a team of 15-30 members. Your primary focus will be on ensuring personal safety and the safety of team members, establishing work schedules based on production needs, and scheduling assembly and powder coat operations to meet production goals.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a high-performing team built on excellence using the McWane Way Core Values* Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members* Establish team member work schedules based on production and project needs* Schedule assembly and powder coat operations to meet production goals* Responsible for performing cycle counts and submitting changes to ensure inventory accuracy in all warehouses* Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties* Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules* Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality* Suggest changes in work conditions and equipment use to increase shop efficiency* Analyze and resolve work problems to ensure quality and quantity standards are met* Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals* Maintain time and production records* Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials* Responsible for ordering and confirming purchased items from vendors* Confer with other supervisors to coordinate department activities* Coordinate with Quality Control on processing returned materials* Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel* Maintain established stocking plan requirements for finished and rough parts* Make suggestions when needed on raising or lowering requirements* Responsible for all safety requirements within RSGV/Powder coat, individual safety briefings, monthly safety meetings, inspections, lockout/tagout, and below-the-hook lifting devices
Skill Requirements
* High School Diploma (or equivalent)* Minimum 5 years of related work experience* Minimum 3 years supervisory experience* Sound decision-making and strong organizational skills with attention to detail* Strong written and oral communication skills* Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills* Ability to analyze and solve problems* Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite* Critical-thinking skills
