Program Overview
The Crisis Residential Treatment programs offer short-term, crisis residential services for adults experiencing acute psychiatric distress. Our services aim to prevent inpatient hospitalization, emergency interventions, and incarceration while facilitating recovery in a supportive, home-like environment.
Work Schedule
Full Time; Days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Friday (Temporary Position)
Compensation
The expected starting wage range is competitive and varies based on geographic location and relevant experience.
Role Summary
In this entry-level management role, the Peer Recovery Team Lead operates under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director or Administrator. Responsibilities include supervising multidisciplinary teams, coordinating service needs, and collaborating with various services and agencies. The Peer Recovery Team Lead is responsible for conducting assessments and determining the appropriate level of services for new members.
Qualifications
Required:
- Certified Peer Specialist and/or completion of Peer Support Training
- Three years of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges
- Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training
- Ability to meet state registration requirements as an Agency Affiliated Counselor
- Sensitivity to multicultural populations and issues
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification required
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are mandatory
Preferred:
- Completion of leadership courses
- Bilingual capabilities
- Bicultural background or experience
- Increased levels of responsibility within a peer role
Essential Functions
- Demonstrates the mission, purpose, values, and beliefs of Telecare in interactions with stakeholders
- Engages and facilitates meaningful conversations with members to assist them in achieving their recovery goals
- Responds to critical situations with effective engagement and de-escalation skills
- Organizes team meetings to coordinate tasks and workflow
- Ensures that peer service deliverables are met or exceeded
- Maintains accuracy of records and safeguards client confidentiality
- Monitors documentation for quality and compliance
- Collaborates with internal and external customers
- Provides on-site recovery and peer support skill coaching
- Supports staff attendance and performance development
- Travels locally for outreach to members served
Skills Required
- Knowledge of recovery-focused, strengths-based work in mental health
- Strong understanding of recovery and resilience
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Experience working with adults facing mental health challenges
- Ability to engage with individuals who may be difficult to reach
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.
