Job Summary

As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing community outreach and education programs to promote litter reduction and waste management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community outreach and education programs to promote litter reduction and waste management practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, organizations, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and coordination on community cleanup initiatives.
  • Conduct outreach and education efforts to promote the importance of proper waste disposal and litter reduction.
  • Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to develop and implement comprehensive community cleanup initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and organizations to support community cleanup efforts.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community outreach and education programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, social services, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in professional program work in human or social services administration.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in solid waste management, education, communications, community outreach, environmental sciences, or related fields.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and populations.
