About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team at Providence Tarzana Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CVICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and accountability, reporting any concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research, applying evidence-based knowledge to improve patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 30 days of hire.
  • At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current National Certification in area of specialty.
