About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Appointment Coordinator to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in shaping the patient experience and ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and payers through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Collaborate with physician offices and clinical departments to provide ongoing patient support and ensure timely scheduling of appointments.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) to communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and the community to schedule appointments, complete registrations, and respond to inquiries.
  • Enroll and activate patient portal accounts, answer questions, and resolve user issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures to maintain the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in the use of computers.
  • Ability to multitask, handling phone conversations while accurately entering data in the computer.
