Location: DC Metro Area
Travel: up to 30% as per leadership guidance

This role necessitates access to sensitive information and facilities safeguarded under U.S. laws and regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Employment offers will be contingent upon the necessary authorization to access such restricted information and facilities essential for fulfilling the role's responsibilities. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. Citizenship to comply with federal government security screening requirements. The ideal candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and qualified to obtain access to classified information and facilities necessary for executing the responsibilities of the position.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational readiness and successful launch of vital components for Armaments Research Company's IoT devices, ensuring compliance with design, technical, and operational standards.
  • Conduct program readiness assessments, addressing overall program status concerning design, technical, and operational challenges.
  • Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain agility to achieve cost-effectiveness and flexibility while upholding high-quality standards.
  • Lead on-site operational development builds at suppliers, ensuring a successful transition to mass production.
  • Effectively communicate in weekly meetings with extensive cross-functional teams and executives, providing status updates and resolving issues.
  • Manage the supply chain to guarantee timely procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials, optimizing resource allocation and logistics.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality and reliability of materials and services, adhering to relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Select and implement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support the scaling of Armaments Research Company's product offerings.

Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain, or product environments, preferably within technology or defense industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage intricate projects from inception to completion.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with operational management tools and software (e.g., ERP systems, project management applications).
  • Experience in managing and forecasting Bill of Materials (BOM) components for PCBAs.
  • Knowledge of mechatronics/automation in upper-level box build assemblies is advantageous.
  • A BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory. An MBA or advanced degree in manufacturing/supply chain is a plus.
