The John Stewart Company is seeking a dedicated individual to undertake a variety of maintenance responsibilities. This role encompasses preventive, urgent, aesthetic, and routine upkeep, along with regular assessments. The nature of this position necessitates a strong focus on safety protocols, consistent physical exertion, troubleshooting, analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, customer engagement, and effective time management.
Role Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of maintenance tasks, including preventive, urgent, aesthetic, and routine upkeep, as well as conducting regular inspections. The role emphasizes the importance of safe working practices, sustained physical activity, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to maintenance requests, ensuring timely follow-up with residents and management.
- Maintain an up-to-date schedule for preventive maintenance tasks.
- Perform cosmetic and routine maintenance throughout the property.
- Oversee unit preparations and turnovers for incoming residents, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct inspections during move-in and move-out processes.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to perform quarterly inspections.
- Execute plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and masonry repairs as required.
- Coordinate and supervise vendor services as needed.
- Be available for on-call emergency maintenance during off-hours and weekends as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Ability to function in an on-call capacity with reliable transportation.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills; fluency in English is required, bilingual skills are advantageous.
- Strong time management capabilities.
- A minimum of two years of experience in maintenance roles within residential properties or similar environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory inspections is a plus.
Compensation: $28.00/Hr. - $30.00/Hr.
