Job Summary

O'GARA Westlake Village is seeking a highly skilled HR Assistant to facilitate human resource processes for all dealerships. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, data entry, and employee liaison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of specific recruitment strategies, including career fairs, job postings, and screening candidates.
  • Provide recruiting support as it relates to new employee onboarding, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork and benefits enrollment.
  • Support the ongoing administration of district training and development programs, including participant registration, logistics, and materials preparation.
  • Track and report metrics related to HR, Compliance, and Training, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Act as a liaison to employees, answering basic questions pertaining to HR policies and directing employees to relevant resources.
  • Assist in the coordination, communication, and implementation of HR initiatives and programs at the dealerships, including recruitment initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Perform other administrative and HR duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of HR department operations and best practices.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred, with a minimum of two years of experience in an HR-related function or three to five years of administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including EEO and governmental compliance.
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills, with expertise in Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and build positive relationships with employees.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and work independently with general supervision.
  • Excellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and experience with HR Management Systems such as ADP.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred, or PHR-SHRM-CP certification.

Compensation
