Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team at O'GARA Westlake Village. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance, data entry, and employee liaison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of recruitment strategies, including career fairs, job postings, and candidate screening.
  • Provide recruiting support for new employee onboarding, including completion of applications and health insurance forms.
  • Support the administration of district training and development programs, including participant registration, logistics, and materials preparation.
  • Track and report HR, Compliance, and Training metrics.
  • Act as a liaison to employees, answering HR policy questions and directing employees to resources.
  • Assist with coordination, communication, and implementation of HR initiatives and programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of HR department operations.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an HR-related function or three to five years of administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of HR Administration best practices and state and federal employment laws.
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and build positive relationships.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
