What You Will Be Responsible For:
- Collaborating with the operations team to devise strategies that enhance guest and member satisfaction while maximizing business efficiency and profitability.
- Creating floor layouts for product display and merchandising.
- Identifying leading brands to shape a targeted inventory acquisition strategy for each retail outlet.
- Managing the visual appeal of retail spaces and the arrangement of merchandise.
- Assisting in the planning, promotion, and merchandising of special events and sales.
- Working with the team to establish pricing strategies, determine promotional activities, authorize clearance sales, and analyze market trends.
- Partnering with the VP of Onboard Revenue and the shipboard team to forecast sales and evaluate financial implications based on current trends and future business impacts.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:
- A Bachelor's degree in Retail Management or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Merchandising and Retail.
- Familiarity with procurement, logistics, and inventory management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with inventory management systems and office equipment.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive professional relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Important Qualifications:
- Ability to negotiate in a respectful and professional manner.
- Prior buying experience is preferred.
- Experience in the cruise or hospitality industry is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and willing to take initiative to complete tasks; capable of mentoring others.
