Patient Care Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Ambe Healthcare Staffing. As a key member of our patient processing team, you will be responsible for scheduling services, procedures, and appointments by obtaining demographic and clinical information. You will work collaboratively with physicians' office staff to ensure maximum customer relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle all incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, transferring calls to the appropriate person within the clinic or taking detailed messages.
• Schedule patients' appointments in-person at the reception desk or over the telephone.
• Obtain demographic and clinical information to schedule services, procedures, and appointments.
• Collaborate with physicians' office staff to ensure maximum customer relations.
Requirements:
• 1 year of experience in a similar or related field (i.e., physician's office, scheduler, etc.).
• Experience in obtaining insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.
• Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes.
• Prior hospital or Ambulatory experience.
• 1 year of Scheduling experience.
• Experience with computerized scheduling or relational databases.
• BLS Required.
