Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate patient scheduling, communicate with patients and families, and work closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient scheduling, including appointments, consultations, and referrals.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients and families to identify and address their individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
- Manage and prioritize scheduling requests, recognizing emergency situations and initiating appropriate procedures.
- Support the overall function of the department, including cross-coverage and special projects.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize concurrent responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems, including scheduling and registration software.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient care setting.
- Experience with Epic or other scheduling and registration software.
