Gateway Rehab is seeking a dedicated full-time Admission Nurse for our residential facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive assessments and nursing care in alignment with protocols set by the Medical Director and Director of Nursing.
- Enhances the operational efficiency of the facility through timely assessments and decision-making.
- Manages all facets of the patient admission process for detox and rehabilitation, including:
- Preliminary evaluations of new patients to determine admission suitability.
- Collects vital health history and physical assessment data.
- Administers medical interventions, including the transcription and delivery of routine and prescribed medications as per established guidelines.
- Accurately documents patient observations and activities in compliance with nursing standards and organizational policies.
- Conducts screenings for tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
- Evaluates acute medical issues, such as intoxication or changes in mental status, and refers patients to the Emergency Department when necessary.
- Ability to perform necessary medical interventions effectively.
- Current RN Licensure.
- CPR certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Experience in Critical Care.
- Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of PA Criminal Background Check.
- Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Clearances.
- Pass Drug and TB Tests.
- CPR certification.
- On-site responsibilities at various Gateway locations.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Flexible work schedule required.
