Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Messina Group. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting scientific tests and procedures to analyze samples and produce accurate results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze submitted samples and produce accurate results, respecting agreed deadlines.
  • Prepare samples compliant with relevant methodology and required accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct analysis of samples and follow laboratory procedures on various sample types to produce accurate, reproducible results.
  • Ensure results are available in relevant IT system.
  • Plan own work within constraints of a research program or test schedule.
  • Liaise with maintenance staff on repair of faults and modifications.
  • Work on specific projects under guidance of a technical specialist.
  • Record data, observations, and conclusions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Material Engineering, or comparable/relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in the work field is appreciated.
  • English Advanced verbal and writing.
  • Practical understanding of industrial mineral industry.
  • Practical understanding of processing and application of minerals in the intended field of application.
  • Practical understanding of typical test protocols for these kinds of applications.
  • Ability to work with a basic set of software packages.
  • Basic to extensive understanding of relevant product segment.
  • In-depth knowledge of majority of relevant analytical techniques and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of client's safety regulations and ensure activities are in compliance with those regulations.
