As a Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc., you will perform a variety of laboratory procedures using established and approved protocols that require moderate to broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory procedures in areas such as blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and laboratory send out reference testing.
- Exercise independent judgment and responsibility in performing laboratory procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other laboratory professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in applied science for medical laboratory technology, biology, chemistry, or related science with a year of clinical training in an accredited school of medical technology.
- Must be registered by a nationally recognized certification agency or registry eligible. Active certification preferred.
