The Senior Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in the analytical process within the laboratory environment. Responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks that support both product evaluation and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducts sample preparation on tobacco products utilizing advanced smoking machines and wet chemistry methodologies, assisting analytical chemists in their evaluations.

2. Executes routine analyses that are less complex, contributing to product assessment and quality control of tobacco products through techniques such as Liquid Chromatography and various wet chemistry methods.

3. Maintains accurate documentation of results in laboratory notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), adhering to stringent good documentation practices.

4. Performs calibration of laboratory instruments and identifies any discrepancies or errors.

5. Upholds the highest quality standards and ensures compliance with established quality system protocols.

6. Engages in effective communication with colleagues and client personnel to foster collaboration and information sharing.
