POSITION OVERVIEW
Accountable for collaborating with the Recreation team to deliver a well-rounded and varied recreation program for students. Advocates for health and wellness by overseeing the recreation activities as detailed in the sanctioned recreation schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Adheres to all integrity protocols and procedures, ensuring no manipulation of student data.
o Aids in the oversight of a comprehensive and varied recreation program.
o Organizes recreation activities in conjunction with CPP and Social Development, including evening programming.
o Coordinates recreation and leadership initiatives with Center and local community resources.
o Guarantees safe practices and program compliance within established safety standards.
o Records student participation and accountability during recreation activities.
o Maintains an inventory of equipment and materials, controlling their usage. Recommends purchases of specific equipment and performs repairs as necessary.
o Responsible for the overall condition, appearance, and organization of the recreation department facilities.
o May supervise the student recreation aide program.
o Produces high-quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
o Plans, prioritizes, and organizes tasks to meet established goals and deadlines.
o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively fulfill all required job responsibilities, proactively maintaining the skills necessary for job duties.
o Mentors, monitors, and exemplifies the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
o Provides exceptional supervision and management for the student population, positively influencing student behavior while showing respect and accountability.
o Offers timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services, pursuing improvements to meet program objectives.
o Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts by sharing relevant insights and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company upon request.
o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas, identifies problems, analyzes causes, and evaluates appropriate solutions before taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt and appropriate actions are taken and that issues are resolved.
o Collaborates with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
o Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate of Arts Degree or one year of relevant experience working with youth is preferred. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load to request necessary assistance.
