Role Summary: The Recreational Aide plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in supportive housing environments. This position involves engaging clients in various recreational and educational activities designed to promote well-being and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients while adhering to confidentiality regulations.
  • Assist in delivering physical education, arts and crafts, performing arts, music, sports, and other recreational programs.
  • Organize and co-facilitate community group activities to foster social interaction.
  • Monitor and document the use of equipment and supplies.
  • Track client progress towards personal goals.
  • Promote the program to attract new participants.
  • Help plan and coordinate social and peer support events for clients.
  • Provide necessary information for regular reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in developing and coordinating recreational activities that support clients in leading independent and sober lives, preferably within a non-profit or similar organization.

Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $36,000. The offered salary may vary based on individual qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.

Employment Status: This is a full-time position, requiring 35 hours of work per week.
