POSITION OVERVIEW
Accountable for collaborating with the Recreation team to deliver a well-rounded and varied recreation program for students. Advocates for health and wellness by overseeing recreational activities as detailed in the approved recreation schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Adheres to all integrity protocols and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of student data.
o Aids in the management of a comprehensive and varied recreation program.
o Organizes recreation activities in conjunction with CPP and Social Development, including evening events.
o Facilitates recreation and leadership programs in collaboration with Center and local community resources.
o Guarantees safe practices and compliance with established safety standards.
o Records student participation and accountability during recreational activities.
o Maintains an inventory of equipment and materials, overseeing their usage. Recommends the acquisition of specific equipment and performs necessary repairs.
o Responsible for the overall condition, appearance, and organization of the recreation department facilities.
o May supervise the student recreation aide program.
o Produces high-quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
o Upholds appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
o Plans, prioritizes, and organizes tasks to achieve established goals and deadlines.
o Demonstrates job knowledge to effectively fulfill all required responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills necessary for job performance.
o Mentors, monitors, and exemplifies the Career Success Standards as mandated by the PRH.
o Provides exemplary supervision and management for the student population, positively influencing student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students while holding them accountable for their actions.
o Offers timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services. Seeks improvements in Center operations to meet program objectives.
o Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts by sharing relevant insights and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies issues, analyzes causes, and evaluates suitable solutions before taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt and appropriate resolutions.
o Collaborates with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including temporary assignments to perform responsibilities of other departments and positions.
o Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate of Arts Degree or one year of relevant experience working with youth is preferred. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or assess the lift load to request necessary assistance.
