Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited nursing program is mandatory. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required. BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Previous experience in acute care settings is preferred.
Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in the healthcare team at Novant Health by fostering a genuine, personalized relationship with patients and their chosen support systems. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health or support a peaceful transition. The Registered Nurse employs the best scientific evidence and compassion to guide patients through their health journeys. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management and delivery of care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
