Position Overview

The Opportunity:

Visa's PPT division is on the lookout for a Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to enhance and oversee its security engineering protocols and testing initiatives, both internally and in collaboration with Visa's Cybersecurity team.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will:

  • Analyze results from various security tools (e.g., Qualys, CheckMarx, BlackDuck) and coordinate the communication of findings to project teams, ensuring the resolution of High, Medium, and Low priority issues.
  • Generate and distribute comprehensive reports (weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc) to all management levels.
  • Engage in Exception reconciliation meetings with Information Security Assurance.
  • Organize and execute security assessments, including CheckMarx, BlackDuck, Nexus IQ, and penetration tests.
  • Facilitate discussions with Product Development teams to address security findings.
  • Utilize the JIRA ticketing system for managing findings and exceptions.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ensuring meticulous and precise work.
  • Export test results and reconcile finding statuses for tracking by Information Security Assurance.
  • Support remediation discussions as necessary.
  • Notify the Audit Coordinator of any issues as required.
  • Assist the Audit Coordinator in drafting exceptions as needed.
  • Proactively review current environmental controls to identify potential vulnerabilities that could lead to audit findings.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining the appropriateness of artifacts provided for audits, ensuring timely delivery to the auditing body.
  • Facilitate audit meetings with Operations and Engineering teams to maintain focus and direction.
  • Support the Audit Coordinator in making independent decisions regarding which artifacts should be submitted for audits and how processes should be communicated.

This role is hybrid, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and office attendance. Hybrid employees are expected to work from the office 2-3 designated days each week, based on leadership/site requirements, with a general expectation of being in the office 50% or more of the time depending on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years of experience with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Knowledge of SSDLC processes and penetration testing methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of COBIT, FFIEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS, and SSAE 16.
  • Familiarity with Finding Management and Exception Management processes.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls, and NIST guidelines.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, SharePoint, and document control systems.
  • Experience in Open-Source Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing.
  • Understanding of Mobile Security Development Best Practices and evaluation tools.
  • 5 years of Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • CISSP or equivalent Security Certifications are beneficial.
  • Experience in IT auditing or within an IT-audit environment is a plus.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is preferred.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements: This position may require travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This role will be conducted in an office environment, requiring the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and via telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment such as computers and telephones.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is between 130,100.00 and 188,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary based on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
