Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will engage in the design and implementation of cutting-edge infrared survivability technologies. Your expertise will contribute to the development of advanced systems that enhance the stealth capabilities of aircraft, ensuring they can operate effectively in contested environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technology to minimize aircraft detectability across various spectrums, including electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic.
  • Conduct performance predictions of designs using proprietary analytical tools.
  • Engage in hands-on verification of design predictions through the construction and testing of physical prototypes.
  • Optimize designs for stealth while ensuring compliance with requirements from other engineering disciplines.
  • Assume responsibility for achieving customer objectives within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) framework.
  • Excel in a dynamic work environment characterized by diverse assignments and extensive collaboration.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of infrared radiation physics related to aircraft survivability.
  • Experience in infrared signature analysis utilizing test data and/or simulation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory and/or in-flight testing of infrared technologies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly NX.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills for effective collaboration.
  • Possession of a current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAPs).
Educational Background:
  • Principal Infrared Survivability Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Principal Infrared Survivability Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced understanding of infrared radiation physics and related technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of thin film material design and qualification processes.
  • Expertise in planning and executing laboratory and in-flight testing of infrared technologies.
  • General knowledge of aircraft radar signatures and techniques for radar cross-section reduction.
  • Experience in project management and proposal writing.
  • Possession of a current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to maintain access to SAPs.
