Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at SEPTA. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to identify and correct defects or malfunctions.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating electrical equipment, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve electrical system issues and ensure seamless operation of our transportation systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably in a transportation or utility setting.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) as required.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex electrical system issues.
