Assistant Community Manager Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate resident records and update daily reports on rents, deposits, and application fees.
  • Process and submit tax credit certifications and recertification files for approval.
  • Manage electronic storage of tax credit/lease agreement files in Yardi and Thrive software.
  • Oversee extended vacancies report and ensure timely completion of move-in and move-out processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, clients, and vendors, ensuring a positive community experience.
  • Collaborate with the Community Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies to improve resident satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Process security deposit move-out reports and ensure accurate accounting of resident deposits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Community Manager or Regional Manager.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in property management as a Leasing Consultant/Manager, Assistant Manager, or Community Manager.
  • Experience with LIHTC and/or other affordable programs.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 25 lbs on occasion and frequent need to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day.
  • Constant need to type, write, and grasp (working at a computer and answering phones).
  • Occasional need to bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder (cleaning up litter, putting out advertisement sandwich boards, put out balloons, open doors, pick up and move items).
