Financial Manager, R&D

Abnormal Security is seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to join our R&D Finance team. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you will provide strategic financial support to our R&D organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support R&D strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to reflect the financial health and operational efficiency of R&D.
  • Conduct advanced investment analysis, applying rigorous financial and risk assessment methodologies to evaluate and prioritize R&D projects.
  • Manage detailed infrastructure forecasts and control spending to meet gross margin expectations.
  • Identify and execute innovative projects to achieve infrastructure savings targets without compromising on growth or service quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in FP&A, Finance, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with forecasting and predictive analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Cyber-security and SaaS industries.
  • Experience working in a fast growth private company in series C or above.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA.
  • Experience with querying big data.

At Abnormal Security, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $126,100—$148,400 USD, bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
