Key Responsibilities:


The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic A is responsible for accurately diagnosing and executing repairs on gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electric systems, and air brake systems.

This role is vital to the ongoing success of the company and the safety of our team members.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using electrical and hydraulic schematics and test equipment.

- Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment components.

- Prepare and complete electronic work orders.

- Maintain company equipment in a clean, orderly, and functional condition.

- Conduct scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs).

- Read and comprehend manufacturer-provided literature.

- Communicate effectively with associates and management regarding equipment conditions, issues, and recommendations.

- Work under varying weather conditions as required.

- Promote a safe work environment and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

- Meet the Station's attendance standards.

- Extensive overnight travel across the USA may be required.

Qualifications:
- Technicians must possess and maintain the necessary personal tools, toolbox, and test equipment to perform their daily functions.

- Hold a valid state driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.

- Two to five years of relevant experience and/or training.

- A professional and detail-oriented mindset.

- Familiarity with airport Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and airport operations is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Certification in Air Brake adjustment is preferred.


- Ability to perform physical activities, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy items of 75 pounds or more, as well as bending, standing, climbing, or walking.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.

- Must be able to work safely in an environment with chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise.
