ARPA H SME – AI/ML Specialist

Amentum is seeking an experienced AI/ML Specialist to join our team in the Washington DC metropolitan area. As an AI/ML Specialist, you will work with our client support and business development teams to mature and implement our Health Sciences strategic plan.
Responsibilities:- Provide expertise and assistance to the Government Program Manager in the execution of multiple advanced technology development programs.
- Integrate and coordinate program activities with the Program Manager and other government and support team members.
- Perform detailed task planning and oversee execution progress.
- Oversee scheduling of program activity and milestones, budget execution, and contractor progress.
- Lead programmatic and technical discussions with Government and industry teams to initiate new program concepts and discuss program planning and execution approaches.
- Present program briefings to all levels of the Government.
- Provide subject matter expertise across the health technology portfolio of projects.
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in applied Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Neural Net training.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and executing technology programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing schedule, budget, and program risks for fast-paced advanced technology programs.
- ARPA H, NIH or other federal grant program experience.
- Multiple years of healthcare experience working with ARPA is highly desirable.
- Experience in doing a research study as Principal investigator.
- Expertise in the acquisition of new programs, solicitations, and contracting actions - understanding Government acquisition process.
