Under general oversight and reporting to the Quality Management team within Quality Operations, the PCB Quality Assurance Inspector is tasked with executing visual inspection activities, which encompass In-process, Final Inspection, and First Article Inspections (FAIs) as necessary. The Inspector should possess familiarity with hand tools and the ability to conduct inspections under magnification. Additionally, the Inspector will aid in the validation of test data and all relevant information pertaining to components, as well as associated documentation and other responsibilities as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold IPC 600 & 610 certifications along with prior hands-on experience in PCB assembly.
  • Conduct final and incoming inspections, which include dimensional checks, visual assessments, surface finish evaluations, and assembly inspections.
  • Interpret and apply Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other relevant documentation.
  • Manage warehouse materials effectively.
  • Follow established instructions and guidelines to perform job functions.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions and the identification of root causes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Experience with CMM inspection processes.
  • Knowledge and expertise in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Proficient in dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components.
  • Experience conducting FAIs in accordance with AS9102.
  • Familiarity with hand measurement tools.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with hand measurement gauges and conventional inspection methods.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma; college or technical school education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a quality inspector or technician.
  • 3+ years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
  • 3+ years' experience in inspection tasks, FAIs, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Preferred: Practical experience with Quality inspection tools and equipment, including RCCA and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Any combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Fluent in English, both reading and writing.
  • Pass required background checks including DMV and credit screening.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Vision acuity tests to be conducted by a qualified professional.
  • Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
