JOB DESCRIPTION


We are seeking a temporary AS9100 Audit Specialist to assist in audit preparations for our client's manufacturing facility.

The AS9100 Audit Specialist will collaborate with the Quality Manager to prepare for the annual AS9100 audit. This role involves managing the necessary preparations on-site for the AS9100 audit under the guidance of the Quality Manager. The specialist will also supervise preparation activities and work closely with staff to ensure the success of the audit.


The Audit Specialist is recognized as an authority in AS9100 and audit preparations, playing a crucial role in the successful recertification of the AS9100 certificate.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrates extensive auditing experience and in-depth knowledge of AS9100.

Exhibits strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.

Familiarity with 6Sigma/Lean tools and Quality tools (RCCA, APQP, FMEA, etc.) is advantageous.

Relevant certifications (AS9100 Lead Auditor, PMP, Sigma, etc.) are a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) and identify discrepancies in relation to AS9100 requirements. Recognize potential risks within the QMS and formulate mitigation strategies.

Assist the Quality Manager in organizing and executing the Management Review in accordance with AS9100 standards.

Support the Quality Manager in performing gap analyses and resolving corrective actions prior to the audit.

The specialist will also oversee the resolution of corrective actions stemming from internal audits, management reviews, and QMS risk evaluations.

Collaborate with staff and the production manager to carry out audit activities and provide necessary guidance.

Assist the Quality Manager in preparing the QMS data package for the AS9100 auditor. Work with the team to review documentation and processes, offering recommendations for enhancements.

Report to the Quality Manager and undertake additional duties related to the AS9100 audit as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive experience with AS9100 and auditing practices.

Experience in manufacturing environments related to AS9100, including leading AS9100 audits.

Proficient in RCCA analysis and possess a solid foundation in Quality principles and error-proofing.

Familiarity with IT/Business infrastructure, MS Office, or Google Suite.

Ability to thrive in dynamic environments while managing multiple deadlines. Strong organizational skills are essential to ensure projects are executed without delays.

Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and action plans, both written and verbal.

Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of 6Sigma/Lean tools and Quality tools (RCCA, APQP, FMEA, etc.)

AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.

A collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent on-the-job experience is required.
