Clinical Nutrition Specialist

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Denali Dialysis. This role is essential in providing nutritional support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Nutritional Assessments and create tailored Nutrition Care plans for each patient.
- Develop, interpret, and enforce policies related to nutritional practices within the clinic.
- Offer expert nutritional guidance to patients, healthcare staff, and physicians.
- Monitor nutritional progress through regular reviews of lab results, making necessary adjustments to enhance patient health outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate both long-term and short-term care strategies for patients.
- Create educational materials such as food diaries and informative posters to support patient and staff learning.
- Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and government regulations regarding nutritional outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a closely related field is required.
- Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is mandatory.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- At least one year of clinical experience is advantageous.
- Current licensure in Alaska or eligibility for licensure is required.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in computer software applications.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.

- Valid Driver's License is necessary.
- Willingness to travel to various clinics as required.
