Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Denali Dialysis. This role is essential in providing nutritional support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Nutritional Assessments and create tailored Nutrition Care plans for each patient.
  • Develop, interpret, and enforce policies related to nutritional practices within the clinic.
  • Offer expert nutritional guidance to patients, healthcare staff, and physicians.
  • Monitor nutritional progress through regular reviews of lab results, making necessary adjustments to enhance patient health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate both long-term and short-term care strategies for patients.
  • Create educational materials such as food diaries and informative posters to support patient and staff learning.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and government regulations regarding nutritional outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a closely related field is required.
  • Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least one year of clinical experience is advantageous.
  • Current licensure in Alaska or eligibility for licensure is required.
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to various clinics as required.
