Team Insight

Our clinic is staffed by a diverse group of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and veteran outreach specialists. We deliver tailored outpatient mental health services that are evidence-based and designed to meet the unique needs of veterans and their families, particularly those affected by the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. The Cohen Clinic is a proud member of the Cohen Veterans Network, a national nonprofit organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary receptionist for the clinic, welcoming and directing visitors and staff appropriately.
  • Manage the main switchboard, routing incoming calls and assisting with outgoing long-distance calls.
  • Keep updated information on clinic services and community resources to aid clients and the public in accessing necessary support.
  • Provide backup administrative support, including tasks such as faxing, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
  • Oversee mail operations, including sorting incoming mail and managing outgoing correspondence.
  • Collaborate with the office manager on managed care billing processes, including discussions regarding insurance co-payments.
  • Supervise day shift cleaning operations and assist with insurance coding and claims as needed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, especially when interacting with clients who may be experiencing stress or agitation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned; a comprehensive job description is available.
