Primary Talent Partners is seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Materials Manager to join our team in Lewes, DE.

This is a full-time opportunity that requires a strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex supply chain operations, analyzing data to drive cost reduction, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Operating Room Materials Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day supply chain operations within the Operating Room, including requisitioning, inventory, and delivery of all O.R. supplies.
  • Conducting analysis of top cost items to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Managing the OR Supply Chain Technician and ensuring goods and services are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Establishing par levels for all supplies and requisitioning inventory through the purchasing IS system.
  • Communicating daily with surgical staff, scheduler, surgery management, vendors, and physicians to ensure availability of supplies for scheduled cases.
  • Making recommendations for new product and capital purchase projects.
  • Staying knowledgeable of contracts and communicating with vendors to ensure adherence to current contractual pricing.
  • Maintaining and updating materials management records to ensure proper purchase order, price, quantity, vendor, and receipt information is entered for all supplies ordered.
  • Working with accounts payable to reconcile inquiries regarding questions on invoices, purchase orders, and received supplies.
  • Receiving supplies, stocking, and delivering to proper areas and keeping storage areas clean and orderly.
  • Working closely with Materials Management staff for shipping repairs and returns to vendors, completing proper credit or return paperwork.
  • Overseeing physical inventory count at various times during the fiscal year and at year-end.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Serving as liaison between the Operating Room staff/management and the Materials Management staff/management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years of applicable experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
