Job Overview

TEKsystems is seeking a talented Product Innovation Specialist to join our dynamic Sales and Marketing team.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead extensive, enterprise-level product development projects and serve as a visionary for the creation of innovative product concepts, guiding them through to design, requirements gathering, execution, and market introduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and cultivate product ideas from initial conception through various stages of the development lifecycle until market launch.
  • Assess and analyze new product possibilities (including new offerings, enhancements to current products, and potential collaborations) to boost sales and profitability, while securing consensus on product priorities from senior leadership.
  • Collaborate across departments to define and create proof of concepts, business cases, product designs, business requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Evaluate and identify potential vendor partnerships to support product initiatives, while managing contract negotiations and drafting statements of work.
  • Present product designs and business cases to various organizational levels, including executive leadership, to obtain necessary resources, budget, and support for initiatives.
  • Work with actuarial resources to establish and gain leadership approval for pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to devise marketing and launch strategies.
  • Update relevant product documentation to reflect changes, including Product Standards and Guidelines, brochures, identification cards, and benefit summaries.
  • Review and endorse marketing materials, training resources, technical specifications, and testing plans and outcomes.
  • Accountable for the overall commercial success of product launches.
  • Enhance and refine ongoing product development processes.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of competitive products and market dynamics.
  • Act as a resource and product expert for the organization.
