About the Role

Columbia River Mental Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with doctors, social workers, nurses, and peer support specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate patients and community partners about Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services
  • Screen and assess individual patients to determine the need for MAT services
  • Provide support and guidance to patients engaged in MAT services
  • Facilitate successful follow-ups for hospital MAT referrals to continue outpatient MAT services
  • Document patient progress and recommendations in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Requirements
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Behavioral Health
  • SUDPT or SUDP license
  • Above-average Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working within health systems
  • Experience with underserved, recovery, and mental health populations
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing
  • Strong communication skills
