Jail Transition Program Supervisor

The mission of Clark County Jail Services is to promote and maintain public safety through effective correctional and reentry practices.
The purpose of the Clark County Jail Reentry Program is to connect incarcerated people releasing or who are likely to release to the local Clark County community with resources to increase desistance behaviors and reduce recidivism.
This position will not begin until 2025 and is subject to final approval of grant funding.
The Jail Transition Coordinators Lead provides supervision to the team of Jail Transition Coordinators who provide direct services for incarcerated people with complex needs in Clark County Jail Reentry Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the JTC team effectively triages incarcerated individuals into services, assesses individual needs and barriers, develops collaborative release plans, and provides collaborative case management.
- Supervise a team of Jail Transition Coordinators who provide direct services to incarcerated people with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Support individualized release plans and service coordination.
- Carry a small direct service caseload based on program needs.
- Develop, supervise, and implement an internship program.
- Ensure fidelity of evidence-based strategies.
- Professionally represent Clark County Jail Services Reentry Program.
- Exercise professional judgment in seeking consultation with program manager and/or other subject matter experts as needed.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution is required plus at least two (2) years of experience working with persons with legal system involvement OR
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field plus at least five (5) years of experience working with persons with legal system involvement
- Licensure in the State of Washington in compliance with WAC as a counseling professional highly preferred, but candidates who currently are registered as Agency Affiliated Counselors in Washington may be considered for the position if eligible for licensure.

- Professional and ethical standards and practices
- Principles and practices of public sector organization and program operations
- Project management, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and problem solving
