Columbia River Mental Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Child Psychiatric Provider to join our team. As a key member of our Psychiatry department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry, with experience in prescribing medications, individualized treatments, and ongoing medication management. You will work closely with our team of dedicated colleagues, including Psychiatrists, MH nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for career development and education. Our Psychiatry department is committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients, and we are seeking a provider who shares our passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prescribes medications, individualized treatments, and ongoing medication management
  • Orders lab and diagnostic tests when appropriate and interprets test results
  • Maintains legible, accurate, and confidential medical records
  • Completes documentation within 24 hours of patient encounter
  • Coordinates care with other providers, counselors, and community care providers

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted Physician, Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
  • CPR certified
  • One year or more experience in behavioral health prescribing preferred
  • Experience working with the aged, the uninsured, the underinsured, individuals with severe mental health disorders, and/or substance use disorders preferred

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a wide knowledge base required roles of various personnel and programs in the agency and community
  • Interpersonal, decision making, judgment, and communication skills plus medication management, psychotherapy, and collegial relations with teams
