About the Role

4M Research, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Mental Health Counselor (MHC) to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing organization that specializes in Systems and Software Engineering and Analysis, Information Technology, Planning and Analysis, and Field Support Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a Behavioral Health Care Provider within an operational unit, providing high-quality clinical services to patients.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, professional staff conferences, and other relevant professional activities to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work, applying evidence-based therapies and techniques to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
  • Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain accurate and current notes in electronic medical records, producing reports of evaluation and/or treatment as needed.
  • Participate in military-specific training and activities, such as security clearances, DoD clinical practice guidelines, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress, as directed by the unit Commander or designee.
  • Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed providers or trainees, ensuring the highest standards of care and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as required, including participating in DoD or service-specific training, contacting referred patients, using validated symptom inventories, assessing barriers to treatment adherence, and providing patient education.
Requirements
  • Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at a local Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
  • Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in the fully licensed, independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting.
  • Experience working in a Government setting, such as DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF, is preferable.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical social work services.
  • Must have experience in brief behavioral interventions.
  • May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges.
  • Must have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as certified by the American Heart Association.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
