Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our Adult Psychiatry team at Ascension St. Vincent's East. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and interpret tests and measures of psychosocial functioning to diagnose mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive, and developmental disorders and disabilities.
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment-based treatment plans in collaboration with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies, and patient relatives.
  • Provide crisis-oriented psychotherapy, short-term and long-term psychotherapy, and psychotherapeutic treatment to patients.
  • Document patient therapy in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • One or more of the following required:
    • Licensed Limited Master Social Worker credentialed from the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education:
    • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
