Job Summary

UIC Alaska is seeking a highly skilled Outreach and Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach and engagement strategies to promote our science programs and foster strong relationships with our community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement outreach and engagement plans to promote UIC Alaska's science programs and services
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including Indigenous communities, researchers, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with UIC Alaska's project managers to integrate outreach and engagement activities into project plans
  • Design and deliver outreach and engagement materials, including presentations, flyers, and other visual aids
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and engagement activities and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as science, communications, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in outreach and engagement, preferably in an Indigenous community or Arctic research setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote locations
